Sometime we become too occupied with what to gain to get through Life, or get ahead in Life to create the life we want.

Ideas like “When I have more time,I will be relaxed”, “When I have a better paid job, I will be happier”,’’When I have better health, my life will be easier”,’ I should be more positive to enjoy my life” and ”If I try a bit harder, I can get it right” can be a motivation for self-improvement. Yet if we keep chasing the ideal reality, wishing that life will be better than this, it will eventually exhaust us by trying to control ourselves, others and circumstances. Moreover it makes us feel constantly restless and postpones experiencing peace and joy.

When we pause in the midst of chasing what we don’t have, we can find rest in the imperfection of the reality.

My body is not perfect right now, but it is doing the best it can.

My day is not easy but this can be as good as it gets.

Things are not perfect right now yet I am doing the best I can.

I wish things were different, but I am OK.

This acknowledgement leads us to gratitude and compassion. We value what’s given rather than what’s missing right now. Saying “thank you” to what’s in front of us is an antidote for the feeling of envy, discontentment and fear, which move us away from an experience of peace and joy.

Our way to see things shifts from what we don’t have to what we have, from what we cannot do to what we can do. Knowing what we have and what we can do right now inspires our creativity to live Life. We don’t need to get anywhere.

Gratitude will give us an opportunity to pause to thank Life expressing itself around us and within us through the body, breath and mind.

The moninrg yoga retreat is for you to pause and rest with gratitude in the middle of  your week. It includes therapuetic movement(Asana), breathing practice(Pranayama) and consious rest (Yoga Nidra). There will be a tea break.
